Ally joined Team Sherwood in 2011 after deciding to make a career change. She has always wanted to be in the dental industry and feels fortunate to be a part of the Sherwood Team. Ally is a bright light in the office and loves to laugh and see patients smile. When not at work, Ally enjoys spending time with her boyfriend and family and friends. She also likes to attend local concerts, Anaheim Angels games and going to the movies.
Courtney has been a member of Team Sherwood since 2006. An energetic and knowledgeable person, Courtney does a thorough job as Office Manager handling insurance and patient relations issues and does it all with a smile. She enjoys helping each patient work within their insurance benefits plan and budget to achieve his or her dental goals. She is always just a call or email away from being of assistance to any patient who needs it.
In 2013, Courtney got married and the following year became a new mother to daughter, Cadelyn. She currently works in the office part time and thrives on doing it all – balancing work, family and friends and her love of riding horses.
The second half of the Sherwood Family Dentistry Duo is Dr. Erma Craw, who is also passionate about her career in dentistry. Dr. Craw was an honor student and “band geek” in high school and later earned two bachelor degrees in biology and psychology from the University of California, Irvine. After taking a brief break from college, Dr. Craw decided to go back to school to attend the USC Dental Program and was honored the year she was elected by her classmates to be class president. While in school, she applied all that she was learning in classes to her job working as student staff at the Children’s Mobile Dental Clinic. It was there where she met her classmate and future business partner Dr. Chao. She is a member of the American Dental Association and the California Dental Association.
Dr. Chao is one half of the talented and compassionate dental duo that makes up Sherwood Family Dentistry. After nearly two decades of working in the dental industry, Dr. Chao still gets a thrill when he helps a patient obtain the perfect smile. His career originally started out on a different path. Dr. Chao graduated with a degree in accounting from the University at Southern California (USC) but found out rather quickly that it was not for him and went back to USC to complete the Dental Program. When he was the only one of 120 students in dental morphology class who could guess the name of the famous person whose smile was projected on the screen (Princess Diana), he knew he had found his true calling and has been passionate about dentistry ever since.
